Nicki Cooper, MS, LPC

Nicki Cooper is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with extensive experience in both school settings and private practice. She brings 20 years of experience working in schools and 7 years in private practice, supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. Nicki holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University and a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University.

Reaching out for counseling isn’t always easy, but it’s a meaningful step toward taking care of yourself. Nicki works to create a space where clients can be honest, feel supported, and begin making meaningful changes. She understands that growth takes time and effort, and believes you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

Nicki works with tweens, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, and a variety of life transitions such as divorce, remarriage, moving, career changes, becoming a parent, and grief or loss. She also supports clients in building coping skills, improving relationships, and working toward personal growth in the midst of everyday challenges.

Her approach is collaborative and adaptable, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and person-centered techniques. Nicki focuses on meeting clients where they are, helping them build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and navigate change with greater clarity and confidence.

Outside of her clinical work, Nicki enjoys coffee dates with friends, trying new restaurants, keeping up with sports, and working out. She values spending time with her family and two dogs, as well as reading and occasionally shopping for a new pair of sneakers.
