Ashley Cain, LPC
Ashley Cain is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over five years of experience in private practice. She earned her Master of Science in Professional Counseling from East Texas A&M University. During her graduate training, Ashley completed her internship at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, where she received specialized training in trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while working with children and families impacted by trauma. She continued her clinical development as an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Dustin Swann, providing play-based therapy for children alongside individual and couples counseling, with a strong emphasis on supporting the family as a whole.
Relationships can be some of the most meaningful—and at times, most challenging—parts of life. Many parents find themselves feeling overwhelmed by the demands of parenting while also struggling to feel connected to their child or confident in how to respond to emotional or behavioral needs. Over time, these patterns can leave families feeling stuck or discouraged. Ashley’s goal is to help families move out of these cycles and develop healthier, more secure ways of relating.
Ashley specializes in working with parents and children to strengthen connection and improve patterns within the family system. She also works with couples navigating relational stress, helping partners build clearer communication, deepen understanding, and foster more supportive relationships across the family unit.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Ashley integrates child-centered play therapy, adolescent activity-based interventions, couples counseling, and client-centered therapy, all through a trauma-informed lens. She partners closely with parents and caregivers to better understand their child’s emotional world, strengthen attachment, and create meaningful, lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.
Ashley lives in Garland with her husband and two daughters. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys dancing and traveling, especially exploring the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. She brings a genuine and approachable presence into her work, creating a space where clients feel supported, understood, and comfortable being themselves.
