Melissa Liebrum, MS, LPC

Melissa Liebrum is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with experience in both school settings and private practice. She brings 8 years of experience working in schools and 9 years in private practice, supporting individuals, adolescents, and couples through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University. She is also Level 1 trained in the Gottman Method.

We all have a fundamental need to feel loved, supported, and valued. Melissa believes in meeting clients exactly where they are in their journey, recognizing that when these needs go unmet, it can lead to anxiety, depression, and hopelessness—often impacting relationships and sometimes leading to self-destructive patterns. Her goal is to create a safe space where individuals and couples feel empowered, worthy, and understood, while honoring the validity of every emotion they experience.

Melissa specializes in working with couples, adolescents, and individuals navigating relationship trauma, anxiety, depression, infidelity, and the challenges of new parenthood. She is committed to fostering a space where clients feel safe, accepted, and supported as they work toward healing.

Her approach is client-centered and humanistic, integrating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Melissa also works with concerns including ADHD, OCD, self-esteem, self-worth, and parenting challenges, with a focus on strengthening relationships and building insight, resilience, and practical tools for change.

Outside of her clinical work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their cats and dog. She loves traveling and exploring new places, food, and culture, and values quiet moments alone in nature with a long, engaging book.
